PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of giving a foam-molded article that has a thin plate-like shape and a high expansion ratio and is homogeneous. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method is characterized by filling resin beads that have been subjected to the primary foaming into the cavity in the state that the mutual mating faces of each die of the molding dies are distanced with a space smaller than the size of the resin beads, then bringing the mutual mating faces of each die into contact and thereby conducting the mold clamping, and subjecting the primarily foamed resin beads to the secondary foaming to mold them and to obtain the thin plate-like foamed molded article.
