PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device having a wired communication means used to establish a connection of wireless communication with a wireless communication means, the communication device which suitably uses the wireless communication means and wired communication means in combination. SOLUTION: The communication device has an interface, the wireless communication means, and the wired communication means, which send and receive data to and from a first device, and mediates in communication between the first device and a second device. The communication device has: an authentication information transmitting and receiving means of sending and receiving authentication information for establishing a connection of wireless communication with the second device to and from the second device by the wired communication means; and a communication switching means of switching the transmission and reception of the data between the interface and the wired communication means or wireless communication means.
