PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head suspension assembly with less resonance. SOLUTION: The width of a load beam 42 is further reduced based on a narrow part 42b. The weight of the load beam 42 is reduced. A mass is reduced at a position away from the center line of the load beam 42. An inertial force around the center line of the load beam 42 is reduced as a result. The resonance frequency of a primary twist mode is increased. The resonance of the head suspension assembly 21 is reduced. The load beam 42 is bonded to a hinge plate 43 at wide and narrow parts 42a and 42b. Thus, the hinge plate 43 further extends forward and the rigidity of the narrow part 42b is reinforced. Reduction in rigidity of the load beam 42 is suppressed. According to the verification of the inventor, reduction in resonance frequency of a horizontal oscillation mode is suppressed as much as possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
