PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of continuing printing even if a jam is caused in a paper feeding cassette changed from a prior paper feeding cassette by feeding from another paper feeding cassette, when the prior paper feeding cassette among several paper feeding cassettes arranged in vertical stages has become unable to feed. SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises a determining means for determining whether the prior paper feeding cassette can feed or not, a research means for researching whether other paper feeding cassette different from the prior paper feeding cassette and capable of feeding exists or not based on a result of determination of the determining means, and a change control means for changing paper feeding cassette from the prior paper feeding cassette to a paper feeding cassette arranged in the lowest stage among the several paper feeding cassettes based on a result of research of the research means.
