PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulating container capable of improving visibility for a proper-quantity position display section indicating a proper-quantity position of liquid poured into a container body. SOLUTION: The thermal insulating container 1 has a container body 2 with a trunk 21, and the outside of the trunk 21 of the container body 2 is covered by a sleeve 3. A step 21b indicating the proper-quantity position of the liquid poured into the container body 2 is formed on the internal peripheral surface of the trunk 21, and an embossed machined part 4 which includes a plurality of protrusions 41 extending in the vertical direction by being limited in an upper-side machining range PS with steps 21b as boundaries.
