PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer capable of efficiently performing a rapid/uniform mixture of a stock oil and a catalyst while increasing a throughput. SOLUTION: This mixer 1 satisfies the relationship of 8.0≥Q×(W/D)/(u1+u2), Q=300 to 2,000 [kg/m<SP>2</SP>s], W/D=0.2 to 0.5, u1=5 to 300 [m/s], and u2=5 to 300 [m/s], when the mass flow per unit area of a moving bed is given as Q [kg/m<SP>2</SP>s], the difference between the outside diameter and the inside diameter of the moving bed, is given as W[m], the inside diameter of a reaction pipe is given as D[m], the linear velocity of a horizontal component at a jet port of an internal stock oil jet nozzle for the stock oil to be supplied from an internal stock oil supply part, is given as u1 [m/s] and the linear velocity of a horizontal component at the jet port of an external stock oil jet nozzle for the stock oil to be supplied from an external stock oil supply part, is given as u2 [m/s].
