DEVICE FOR COVERING A ROOF WELDING GROOVE ON A VEHICLE BODY AND METHOD FOR FASTENING A SEALING LIP TO A DECORATIVE BAR

The invention describes a device for covering a welding groove (1) on a vehicle body (2) with a decorative bar (3), with at least one sealing lip (6) which is connected to at least one side of the decorative bar (3). In order to improve the device in respect of the visual appearance and tightness, it is proposed to form the elastic sealing lip (6) on the outside of the decorative bar (3) in the form of a T-shaped outer edge (7) which is likewise elastic. In order to optimize the method for fastening the sealing lips (6) to the decorative bar (3) in respect of simple manufacturing and therefore lower production costs, it is proposed to attach the sealing lips (6) by rolling of the rollers (9) on at least one side of the support profile (4) of the decorative bar (3) together with the covering of the decorative bar (5).
