[PROBLEMS] To provide an electronic balance to clearly indicate the degree of nearness to a weighing target value. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A signal converter (2) converts an electronic signal outputted from a weight detecting circuit (1) into a digital signal. A computing section (3) converts the digital signal into a weighted value W<SUB>x</SUB>, reads a weighing target value W<SUB>d</SUB> (=W<SUB>o</SUB>±?W) determined by a target center value W<SUB>o</SUB> inputted from weighing setter (5) through an interface (4) and an allowable value ±?W, compares the difference between the weighted value W<SUB>x</SUB> and the weighing targetvalue W<SUB>d</SUB>, and transmits a signal for blinking or turning on character display corresponding to the difference and the weighted value W<SUB>x</SUB> to a display unit (6) and transmits a sound signal to a buzzer (7).
