A shingling printing method and an ink-jet image forming apparatus are provided to improve image quality by performing multiple-printing that prints an image at low resolution and reprints the image after a predetermined time, on a damaged nozzle area. A shingling printing method using an ink-jet image forming apparatus, which is equipped with an ink-jet head, a feeding roller and a releasing roller, comprises the steps of: transferring a piece of paper in a direction and printing an image at resolution 1 of the ink jet head; transferring the paper in the reverse direction; moving the ink-jet head in a main scanning direction corresponding to resolution m; and repeating the above steps.
