<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skins, which uses an ingredient found to have a lipase inhibiting activity and is effective against skin diseases and honey plug formation caused by bacterial lipases. <P>SOLUTION: A lipase inhibitor, a horney plug formation inhibitor, a pore conspicuousness inhibitor, and a pimple inhibitor each is characterized by comprising a solvent extract of Bergenia ciliata Sternb.
