<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of electronic control units (ECUs) connected to a LAN to transmit/receive update data in the best timing according to the schedule of the internal processing of the units. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle database distribution node is provided with: an electronic control unit side transmission/reception means that is connected to at least one electronic control unit, and transmits/receives the update data; a node side transmission/reception means that is connected to other nodes via a transmission line, and transmits/receives the update data; and a processing means that is connected to the electronic control unit side transmission/reception means, and to the node side transmission/reception means. The processing means includes: a database for recording the update data received from the electronic control unit side transmission/reception means and the update data received via the node side transmission/reception means and shared with the other nodes; and a service providing section that transmits the update data requested by the electronic control unit among the update data in the database, according to the schedule of the data processing performed by the electronic control unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
