PROTECTION LAYER, MANUFACTURING METHOD THE SAME AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A protective layer, a manufacturing method of the same, and a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel are provided to improve brightness and discharge efficiency by enhancing emission characteristics of secondary electrons. A first substrate includes a protective layer which is formed with at least one electrode(290a,290b), a dielectric layer(275) formed on the electrode, a first layer(280), and a second layer(280'). The first layer is formed on the dielectric layer and includes MgO. The second layer is formed on the first layer and includes single crystalline MgO nano-powders having a maximum value of cathode luminance in a wavelength region of 300-500 nanometers. A second substrate is attached to the first substrate. The second substrate includes at least one address electrode and a phosphor layer.
