PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice recognition system which facilitates coping with noise changes. SOLUTION: When a noise estimation means 2 estimates a noise state, a voice comparison means 3 determines the number of sounding cycles needed for voice recognition operation, according to the estimated noise state. When the number of sounding cycles reaches the number of the determined needed sounding cycles, the voice comparison means 3 outputs sound stored in a voice storage means 4 to a voice recognition means 7. The voice recognition means 7 performs voice recognition by assuming that each sounding is the same content. Thereby, controlling according to the surrounding noise state is attained, and high recognition performance is assured under high noise environment, while convenience is enhanced under low noise environment.
