PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container capable of preventing one hinge member arranged on one flip-up side wall which is suspended in a substantially vertical direction of the folded folding container from being drawn from the other hinge member. SOLUTION: The folding container comprises an upper frame 1, a bottom part 2, a flip-up side wall 3 with their upper ends pivoted by the upper frame, and a split side wall 4 having an upper split side wall 4' and a lower split side wall 4". A locking horizontal shaft s1 is attached to a plate piece 3b' raised on the upper face of an upper end flange 3a of the flip-up side wall, and a locking plate h1 is arranged on the upper frame. When the upper frame is hinge-connected to the flip-up side wall, the front end of the locking horizontal shaft arranged on each flip-up side wall is located behind the locking plate arranged on the upper frame.
