PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorption body capable of freely varying rigidity distribution and to provide a collision damage reduction device capable of suitably reducing the damage to each of a vehicle, an occupant and a pedestrian by collision. SOLUTION: A truss structure of a plurality of cubic lattices (unit area) arranged near a surface of the impact absorption body 10 is destroyed at a position where a head 48 of the pedestrian collides to the vehicle before the collision to reduce rigidity. Thereby, a soft area 44 is formed in a rigid area 46 of the impact absorption body 10. The head 48 collides to the soft area 44 reduced with rigidity. Since rigidity of the soft area 44 is reduced, contact reaction force received from the soft area 44 by the head 48 becomes small and collision damage of the pedestrian can be reduced.
