PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub unit bearing capable of suppressing flange runout precisely for a long period. SOLUTION: This hub unit bearing 1 is provided with a hub 2 having a flange 6 for mounting a wheel and integrated with an inner ring 3 on an outer peripheral surface of a center shaft part, and an outer ring 4 connected to the inner ring 3 of the hub 2 via a rolling element 5. A metal film is formed by shot-peening using a nonferrous shot material (solid lubricant having lubricating effects on a brake rotor of the flange 6, for instance) on a surface opposed to the brake rotor of at least the flange 6.
