PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the user's waiting as much as possible together with key information updating of AACS. SOLUTION: Encoding is performed to an object (VOB/SOB) for access limitation by using updated key information (Title Key File etc.), and encoded object data is recorded in media (optical disk/HDD). Updating (resetting and reencoding of key information) of the key information and writing update information obtained as a result of the updating in the media are performed collectively at a predetermined timing (ST120A yes)(ST20A).
