The drive comprises a drive shaft (1) guided by a carrier (2), and a nut (3) screwed in the drive shaft. A cabin (5) is provided for the transport of loads or persons, and a connection (4) connects the cabin and the nut. A guiding rail (24) is arranged at a side of the cabin, where the cabin is moved in the vertical direction along the guiding rail. A drive shaft engine (6) is connected with the drive shaft, where the nut is moved opposite to the drive shaft and the cabin along the rail. A nut engine (7) is located on the connection, where the nut is moved opposite to the drive shaft.
