OPTICAL MEMBER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

An optical member and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to improve the efficiency due to a liquid crystal layer and brightness due to a condensing layer at the same time to increase the light efficiency, thereby simplifying the formation of the liquid crystal display device. A liquid display device includes a liquid crystal display panel. A light source supplies a light to the liquid crystal display panel. A liquid crystal layer(330) is interposed between the liquid crystal display panel and the light source unit, including cholesteric liquid crystal. An optical member(300) is placed on a first plane of a liquid crystal film toward the liquid crystal display panel, including a condensing layer(390) having a plurality of lens patterns(391), and a quarter phase difference film layer(350) formed between the liquid crystal layer and the condensing layer.
