WASHING MACHINE AND OPERATING METHOD FOR SAME

A washing machine and an operation method thereof are provided to reduce washing time and to reduce energy consumption by regulating RPM of a drum in accordance with eccentricities detected at each of loads. A method for operating a washing machine comprises the steps: judging load of the laundry(S105); detecting eccentricity for each load of laundry(S120); decreasing RPM of a drum if detected eccentricities are over than standard eccentricity for each of loads(S125); and re-detecting eccentricity by increasing RPM to detected RPM after decreasing RPM.
