A vaccine comprises a first housekeeping epitope derived from a first antigen associated with first target cell, with the proviso that the epitope is not Melan-A26-35/HLA-A2. Also described are methods of making the vaccine, isolated T cells and their uses, methods of epitope discovery, uses of the epitopes discovered, methods of identifying an MHC class I-restricted epitope and the use of the vaccine in the manufacture of a medicament for stimulating the immune system.
