A hinge module of a folder type mobile terminal is provided to reduce a movement of a folder by minimizing a shaking phenomenon caused when a shaft unit is inserted to a shaft holder and rotated. A hinge shaft(110) includes a base unit(111) fixed at one of a terminal body(11) and a folder(16), and a shaft unit(113) having a smaller diameter than that of the base unit(111) and extending with a certain length from one end of the base unit(111) in a direction of a rotational shaft of the folder(16). A shaft holder(120) is fixed at the other of the terminal body(11) and the folder(16), and allows the shaft unit(113) to be rotatably inserted therein. A release preventing unit prevents the shaft unit(113) from the shaft holder(120) in a state that the shaft unit(113) is inserted in the shaft holder(120). A hinge driving unit is provided between the hinge shaft(110) and the shaft holder(120) to provide force allowing the folder(16) to be maintained in a completely unfolded or folded state, and also provide force allowing the folder(16) to be completely unfolded or folded automatically at a certain angle.
