PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary solenoid with excellent mass-productivity capable of advantageously reducing a space in terms of cost with a comparatively simple structure, while eliminating the generation of operation noise with energization/non-energization. SOLUTION: A second core 8 is relatively rotated to a magnetic balance position S2 with respect to a first core 5 by generating electromagnetic force with the energization/non-energization to a coil body 6. Thus, the collision of both the parts is prevented and hit noise is prevented from being generated as the operation noise. A structure is the one for relatively rotating the second core 8 from an initial position S1 to the magnetic balance position S2, so that a control operation for operating and stopping is accurate and the control is highly reliable. The rotary solenoid is manufactured with the comparatively simple structure such as the provision of the coil body 6, the first core 5, the second core 8, and a driving axis 4 inside a casing 1a.
