PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device allowing a tray set in a device main body to be viewed from the outside at low costs and by a simple structure. SOLUTION: While a tray 5 is set in a device main body 11, a prism body 15a (light guide) formed in a see-through window 15 disposed in a tray door polarizes a light L from the outside of the device main body 11 toward the front (especially the front end center) of the tray 5 to guide it. Accordingly, the front part of the tray 5 is illuminated to be bright. Thus, even when the tray door closes an opening formed in a front panel 11a, the state of the tray 5 is viewed from the outside of the device main body 11 via the see-through window 15. Thus, since no component is required other than the tray door 13 formed integrally with the see-through window 15 to view the tray 5 of the set state, the tray set in the device main body is viewed from the outside at low costs and by a simple structure.
