PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery can for a secondary battery capable of remarkably reducing a production cost, and of obviating the need of breakage of an end cover and a can body when battery members in the inside are conserved and recycled. SOLUTION: This battery can for a secondary battery is used for storing the battery members, and includes one can body, one sealing cover, and a plurality of screws. In the battery can for a secondary battery, the can body has a hollow space for storing the battery members therein, wherein an end opening is formed at one end, the other end is formed integrally with the bottom part of the can body, and one opening is opened on the end surface of the bottom part of the can body; in the sealing cover, one opening is opened on the end surface thereof, and a plurality of through-holes are opened at parts adjacent the periphery of the end surface; the sealing cover is used for covering the end opening of the can body; the through-holes correspond to screw holes of the can body; and screws are screwed to the screw holes opened on the can body through the through-holes opened on the sealing cover to tightly connect the sealing cover to the can body.
