PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device for a hanged type air conditioner capable of reducing effectively vibration transmission from the air conditioner to a concrete slab, by simple constitution, and a construction method therefor. SOLUTION: This vibration control device 7 for the hanged type air conditioner 1 installed on the concrete slab 2 via hanging bolts 3 is provided with a coil spring 71 having a wound diameter capable of inserting the hanging bolt 3 and having a prescribed natural frequency not resonated with the air conditioner 1, and the paired first and second bushes 72, 73 having a substantially protruded shape with protruded parts 72b, 73b formed adjacently to be pressed into a wound end part, in base parts 72a, 73a abutting to the wound end part of the coil spring 7, and formed in the center thereof with a through hole capable of inserting the hanging bolt 3, and a vibration control device main body 7A, that is am assembly of the spring coil 1 and the first and second bushes 72, 73, is insertion-fixed into the hanging bolt 3, to support elastically a hanging metal 10 of the air conditioner 1 locked to the each hanging bolt 3, from an under side.
