PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous heat treatment furnace capable of reducing consumed energy, improving production efficiency, and reducing an installation space. SOLUTION: In this continuous heat treatment furnace 100 comprising a furnace body 34 and a conveying mechanism capable of conveying a heat treated object 1 through the furnace body 34, at least a part of the conveying mechanism is an arm-type conveying portion 15 having a rotating shaft 11 disposed in a state that its axial direction is vertical to the conveying direction of the heat treated object 1, an arm 12 mounted on the rotating shaft 11 at its one end portion, and a supporting tool 13 mounted on the other end portion of the arm 12 and capable of holding the heat treated object 1, and the heat treated object 1 can be conveyed while passing through the furnace body 34 by rotating motion on the rotating shaft 11, of the arm-type conveying portion 15.
