PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake emergency control operation device for an elevator allowing a user to easily confirm motion of earthquake emergency control operation in the elevator being not monitored by remote control. SOLUTION: This earthquake emergency control operation device for the elevator for bringing a car 1 to the nearest story and stopping it there to suspend operation of the elevator when an earthquake sensor 8 provided in a building detects predetermined tremor is provided with illuminating devices L1, L2 arranged in at least either an entrance of the building in which the elevator is installed or a landing place 10 at the first story of the elevator and a light turning-on device 13 for turning on the illuminating devices L1, L2 when the earthquake emergency operation control device operates.
