摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial robot with which an operator easily and optionally changes and sets an allowable shortest distance Lmin between respective sliders 20, 30, easily and certainly prevents collision of carrying articles 22, 33 against each other and safely carries out teaching work, etc. SOLUTION: Movement of both of the sliders 20, 30 is controlled by detecting positions of the both sliders 20, 30 by taking up a signal for positional detection of encoders 28, 38 built in servo motors 27, 37 to respectively and independently move the first and second sliders 20, 30, and a distance L between the both sliders 20, 30 is found from their detected positions. In the meantime, a shortest distance setting part 14 free to optionally set the allowable shortest distance Lmin between the both sliders 20, 30 is provided, the distance L is compared with the allowable shortest distance Lmin, and when the distance L reaches the allowable shortest distance Lmin, relative movement of the both sliders 20, 30 in a direction to make them approach each other is stopped.
