The system comprises a drying agent for drying the furnace body section over a given time, as reaction to the activation of the thermal analysis system. The drying agent comprises a gas inlet medium for flow of dry gas into the furnace body section. A heater block temperature controlling unit is provided for controlling the temperature of the heater block. The drying agent changes the gas inlet condition and temperature controlling conditions depending on the type of a cooler connected with the cooling block. An independent claim is also included for a method for drying the thermal analysis system.
