VIBRATION DAMPING BUSH, AND MULTI-RING TYPE SUSPENSION DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping bush which can furthermore reduce its spring constant in its forcible bending direction. SOLUTION: The vibration damping bush comprises a rodlike member 1, an outer cylinder 2 surrounding the rodlike member 1, and a rubbery elastomer 3 for connecting the rodlike member 1 and the outer cylinder 2. The middle portion of the rodlike member 1 in the axial direction J is configured as a spherical bulged portion 4 swelled in the radially outward direction K2. The inner peripheral surface portion of the outer cylinder 2 surrounding the bulged portion 4 is formed to be a recess spherical surface 5M which is coaxial with the convex spherical surface 4M of the bulged portion 4. The outer cylinder 2 is two-divided into a first outer cylinder portion 21 and a second outer cylinder portion 22 at the middle portion L of the recess spherical surface 5M in the axial direction.
