BRAKING DEVICE, STROKE SIMULATOR CUTTING MECHANISM AND STROKE SIMULATOR CUTTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize the operation fluid of a master cylinder.

SOLUTION: The braking device is provided with the master cylinder 14 for pressurizing the operation fluid according to an operation amount to a braking operation member by a driver; a stroke simulator 24 for receiving an operation fluid pressure pressurized by the master cylinder 14 and generating reaction force relative to the braking operation; and a stroke simulator cutting mechanism provided on an operation fluid circulation route between the master cylinder 14 and the stroke simulator 24, receiving braking operation input of the driver and mechanically shutting off circulation of the operation fluid in the operation fluid circulation route when circulation of the operation fluid from the master cylinder 14 to a wheel cylinder is allowed. The shutting off action of the stroke simulator cutting mechanism is started prior to flowing out of the operation fluid from the master cylinder 14 to the stroke simulator 24.
