PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for storing electronic data of a paper document satisfying a predetermined criterion. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus acquires, after acquiring a user ID, an input of a criterion button for instructing the creation of electronic data of an image quality satisfying predetermined criterion. The apparatus acquires electronic data and checks whether the image quality of the acquired electronic data satisfies the predetermined criterion.
