PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display still image data according to kinds of color temperature and to classification in chronological order. SOLUTION: Color temperature information of image data is detected in photographing. When the detected color temperature information coincides with the color temperature of the previous image data after comparison, it is determined that the data are continuous scenes, so as to generate a same group number as last time. In the case of noncoincidence, it is determined that the data are noncontinuous scenes so as to generate a new group number. The still group number is embedded in the still image data together with a thumbnail image, and made into a file. Then the obtained image file is preserved. When the data are reproduced, the group numbers are read from each image file, and the thumbnail images are classified into groups 56, based on the group numbers.
