PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display image/character data outputted from a computer, on display devices different in screen size and resolution by adjusting screens. SOLUTION: The method is carried out so that the screen resolution of a display device after a change is obtained based on an API function installed in a computer (S1), the aspect ratio of the screen resolution of the display device to the screen resolution of output image/character data is obtained (S2), the display screen of the display device is adjusted by multiplying the output image/character data by the ratio (S3), and a font size is read from a character font size setting file to adjust the font size of the character data (S4).
