PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the displacement of a sensor with same sensitivity regardless of direction of force acting to the sensor. SOLUTION: In the capacitance type sensor, between the displacement electrode 104 and the electrodes E1 and E2, the capacitance elements are constituted. When an external force is applied, the displacement electrode 104 is displaced and brought into contact with the electrode E3 or E4 for a switch of ground potential, after that it displaces while keeping the electrode E3 or E4 in the contact state. When the displacement electrode 104 is displaced and the distance between the electrodes E1 and E2 for capacitance is varied, the static capacitance value of the capacitance elements are varied.
