PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce specifications for a shaft coupling of a type that transmits power between two parallel shafts via rolling elements arranged at intersecting positions of guide grooves perpendicular to each other. SOLUTION: On the back surface of each of plates (rotary members) 11 and 12 including guide grooves 15a, 16b on respective faces opposed to each other, a groove 15b, 16b is provided in the same direction as the guide groove 15a, 16a on the opposed face relative to the rotating direction thereof, so that both the plates 11 and 12 can be replaced with the respective back surfaces being opposed to each other. Accordingly, to a device having a pair of shaft couplings rotating in reverse directions as viewed from input side, shaft couplings of the same specification can be incorporated so that the guide grooves are turned in the same direction relative to the rotating direction without causing any difference in power transmitting characteristic or durability between both the shaft couplings, and specifications for the shaft coupling can be thus reduced.
