METHOD FOR SERVING MOBILE NODE SUPPORTING MOBILE IP IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING PROXY MOBILE IP AND THEREFOR SYSTEM

A service method and system of a mobile node supporting a mobile IP in a mobile communication system using a PMIP(Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol) are provided to reduce a handoff delay in a mobile communication environment and effectively support an existing mobile IP mobile node according to a PMIP. An HA(Home Address)(HoAv4) in compliance with an IPv4, which corresponds to an HA(HoAv6) in compliance with an IPv6 of a mobile node, and a care of address(CoAv4) in compliance with the IPv4 are defined to manage handoff of the mobile node. The mobile node is registered in a visitor list and managed by using the HoAv6 of the mobile node or an NAI(Network Access Identifier) of the mobile node as a key value. The mobile node is registered according to an PMIP in the HA by including the HoAv4 and the CoAv4. An RA(Router Advertisement) is transmitted to the mobile node to allow registration of the mobile node to be requested.
