A mobile terminal and its operation method are provided to prevent a music signal from being distorted while passing through a switch, and simultaneously provide a call signal and the music signal to a speaker. A controller(10) outputs at least one of a call signal and a music signal. A speaker(20) converts the call signal and the music signal into audio signals and outputs the same. A switching unit(30) passes or cuts off the call signal between the controller(10) and the speaker(20) according to a control signal applied from the controller(10). A signal amplifying unit(40) amplifies the music signal and provides the amplified music signal to the speaker(20). The control signal is an ON/OFF control signal with respect to a switching element that passes or cuts off the call signal within the switching unit(30).
