LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

A liquid crystal device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the noise at telephone call by using a telephone call detection unit and a selection unit for selecting a frequency. A telephone call detection unit(130) verifies on-the-call and off-the-call. A data driver(106) drives a liquid crystal panel(112) in a line inversion mode or a frame inversion mode in a response of a detection signal from the telephone call detection unit. The telephone call detection unit generates a detection signal of high logic at the on-the-call, and generates a detection signal of low logic at the off-the-call. In case the detection signal is high, the data driver drives the liquid crystal panel in the frame inversion mode. In case the detection signal is low, the data driver drives the liquid crystal panel in the line inversion mode.
