An accident preventing system for a railroad platform is provided to promptly cope with an accident by automatically stopping a train or preventing the starting of the train through an ATO(Automatic Train Operation) device. An accident preventing system for a railroad platform(12) includes a falling sensing unit(30), a first relay(40), a second relay(41), an ATO device(50), and a controlling unit(20). The ATO device has a track circuit unit, an onboard device, and a ground device, and prevents two trains(10) from simultaneously entering one block section. The first relay is provided on a track circuit of the block section of the platform, and notifies the existence of the train in the block section of the platform to the ATO device. The falling sensing unit senses the falling of a passenger in the platform. The controlling unit controls the operation of the first relay so as to prevent the next train from entering the block section where the passenger falls, and disconnects the railroad of the block section where the passenger falls. |
