A display panel storage apparatus is provided to separate neighboring display panels stored in a receiving container from each other to prevent the surfaces of the display panels from being scratched. A display panel storage apparatus(1000) includes a receiving container(200), a plurality of supporting members(600), a position sensing unit, a controller and inserting parts(700). The receiving container has an opened top face and a plurality of sides and sequentially receives a plurality of display panels(100) through the opened top face. A plurality of holes(230) are formed at first and second opposite sides(210,220) among the plurality of sides. The supporting members are respectively combined with the holes and projected through the holes between neighboring display panels to separate the display panels from each other. The position sensing unit is attached to the sides of the receiving container, senses the positions of the received display panels and transmits a position sensing signal to the controller. The controller receives the position sensing signal and generates a control signal in response to the position sensing signal. The inserting parts are moved along the first and second sides in response to the control signal and sequentially project the supporting members. |
