<p>A mobile terminal for processing a voice call and a data call at the same time and an operation control method thereof are provided to enable a user to transmit and receive data in a traffic state and to execute a phone call in the middle of data transmission by registering special identification numbers for a CDMA network and a WCDMA network respectively and driving two modem parts independently. A mobile terminal comprises a CDMA modem part(14), a WCDMA modem part(18), and a control part(26). The CDMA modem part(14) executes the first call processing in accordance with a protocol defined in CDMA standards. The WCDMA modem part(18) executes the second call processing in accordance with a protocol defined in WCDMA standards. The control part(26) controls the CDMA modem part(14) and the WCDMA modem part(18) so that the first call processing and the second call processing can be executed at the same time. In addition, the mobile terminal comprises a CDMA RF part(12) and a WCDMA RF part(16). The CDMA RF part(12) demodulates a CDMA signal and delivers it to the CDMA modem part(14). Also the CDMA RF part(12) modulates and outputs the Tx data delivered from the CDMA modem part(14). The WCDMA RF part(16) demodulates a WCDMA signal and delivers it to the WCDMA modem part(18). Also the WCDMA RF part(16) modulates and outputs the Tx data delivered from the WCDMA modem part(18).</p> |
