The device has a pinhole opening (PH) bounded by film edges that can be adjusted relative to each other. At least two films (F1-F4) with at least one straight edge each are arranged relative to each other and/or connected so that their edges describe an L shape. The L-shaped connecting pieces are arranged relative to each other to bound a rhombic or square light passage and are adjustable to vary the pinhole. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of manufacturing an inventive adjustable pinhole.
