A plasma display apparatus is provided to suppress a breakdown of a sustain electrode by expanding a coated region of an upper dielectric wider than a sealed region of a sealing agent. A first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer are formed on an upper surface of an upper substrate(110). A third electrode is formed across the first and second electrodes on a lower substrate(120). The upper substrate and the lower substrate are attached to each other by using a sealing agent. The dielectric layer has an expanded region in comparison with a sealed region of the sealing agent. A gap between an outermost part of the dielectric layer and an outermost part of the sealed region of the sealing agent is 0.1mm to 10.0mm.
