PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid foaming resin particle improving stability of expansion ratio with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid foaming resin particle is obtained by impregnating a polylactic acid resin composition with a foaming agent and a foaming aid in an aqueous suspension system and the foaming aid is cyclopentane. The content of the foaming aid is preferably 2.5-5.5 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of the polylactic acid resin composition. A polylactic acid resin composition comprising≥50% of a structural unit derived from D-lactic acid, L-lactic acid or a mixture thereof and a phyllosilicate in an amount of 0.1-50 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of the polylactic acid resin is preferably used as the polylactic acid resin composition.
