The bicycle (10) has an impact detection device i.e. accelerometer, fixed to a frame adjacent to a rear wheel, and connected to a CPU (19), where the CPU communicates with a bicycle managing device i.e. managing server, and a storage terminal (12). The CPU signals the detection of impact to the bicycle managing device and stores a parameter which is a function of number of impacts detected by the impact detection device and/or intensity of the impacts. The CPU transmits the parameter to the managing device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for managing a fleet of bicycles (2) a system for managing a fleet of bicycles.
