A method and a system for connecting a call transmitted to a mobile terminal to an Internet call are provided to solve a problem that data transmission/reception through the Internet by the medium of a mobile terminal is interrupted as the mobile terminal receives a call. A computer(110) includes an Internet phone application and an apparatus for using the wireless Internet installed therein. A mobile terminal(100) allows the computer(110) to be connected with the Internet(170). A PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(130) generates and transmits a medium function performing notification message if it determines that the mobile terminal(100) performs the medium function. An HLR(Home Location Register)(140) receives the medium function performing notification message, and transmits a call transfer request message allowing a call to be transferred as an Internet call if it is requested to check a terminating MSC(Mobile Switching Center) for terminating the call. When the call transfer request message is received from the HLR(140), an originating MSC(150) transfers the call to the Internet call. A VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)(180) receives the call from the originating MSC(150), converts voice data of the call into packet data, and transmits the packet data to the computer(110) via the PDSN(130) and the mobile terminal(100).
