A swivel driving apparatus is provided to reduce abrasion to thus lengthen a life time by preventing a friction wheel from being slipped in an automatic mode. A first hinge base(110) is combined with the first body. A controller(140) generates and outputs a drive signal having an amount of rotation corresponding to an input signal value. A geared motor(160) including an output shaft is coupled to the first hinge base(110), generates corresponding rotational power upon receiving the drive signal, and transfers the generated rotational power. The second hinge base(120) is coupled to the second body. A friction wheel unit(130) is coupled to the second hinge base(120) and one end thereof is coupled to the output shaft.
