<p>A location information service system using a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to convert GPS(Global Positioning System) data received from a GPS receiving chip embedded in the terminal into a WGS84 coordinates system, and to display or transmit or store the converted data, thus a user or a receiver receiving data from the user can exactly perceive the current location of the user. A data extraction module(120) extracts latitude and longitude data necessary for coordinates conversion among many data applied from a GPS receiving chip(110) embedded in a mobile communication terminal. A coordinates conversion module(130) converts the extracted data into a WGS84(GPS) coordinates system through numerical operation. A display unit(140) displays WGS84 coordinates system numerical values on a display of the terminal. A control module(150) transmits the numerical values to a demanding place, and stores the values in the terminal.</p> |
